The Role Responsibilities

Strategy

  • Assist in the development and operation of forecasting structural liquidity metrics, to strengthen the Group's capability in managing structural liquidity risk and optimising the structural balance sheet profile.


Business

  • Drive engagement with business / segment / Countries / risk stakeholders to ensure alignment with the team's various optimisation initiatives.
  • Lead the end-to-end implementation and operationalisation of structural liquidity metric forecasting: data collation, modelling, dissemination, back-testing and continuous enhancement.

Processes

  • Support forecasting requirements of structural liquidity metrics for committee updates (Operational Balance Sheet Forums, Group Asset/Liability Committee, Management Board Review)

  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.   • Support the Treasury BSO team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank's Conduct Principles: Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.


Our Ideal Candidate

  • Strong academic record at bachelor or master's degree level in business, economics, finance, financial engineering, or related field from a well-recognised institution.
  • 5 years of industry experience.
  • Proficiency in balance sheet management or analysis, with deep working knowledge of Basel 3 liquidity requirements (LCR, NSFR).
  • Proficiency in data analysis and business reporting.
