- Be highly skilled and experienced in financial accounting, preferably with experience from ownership of a full closing responsibility at a financial institute or leasing company
- Have solid knowledge of local tax regulations and required tax compliance
- Be skilled in general business, company and in particular leasing contract administration and accounting for leases
- Have a basic understanding in credit and asset risk management; and
- Have experience in internal KPI and internal stakeholder reporting
Job Description
The Senior Financial Accountant and Customer Finance Administrator for Sandvik Financial Services RSA's main job purpose is:
Full back office financial accounting responsibility for the SFS legal entity in South Africa, including (but not limited to):
- financial accounting for the legal entity e.g., Sandvik internal monthly group reporting, preparation of the annual local statutory financial statements, contact for auditors etc.
- all local tax reporting and other regulatory compliance tasks.
- supporting the mid-office related customer management.
- performing Company Secretary duties for the local legal entity.
- netting responsible for the entity and administration of local payments.
- cash and liquidity forecasting.
- ensuring compliance with accounting standards and guidelines; and
- support for budgeting, planning, and forecasting.
In addition, perform customer finance administration for the local SFS legal entity including (but not limited to):
- financing portfolio contract administration
- monthly invoicing
- liaison with group treasury for funding of new deals
- cash application and asset management
- back office administration of the financing portfolio during the whole contract lifecycle
- drive the AML/CTF and KYC process and to ensure compliance with internal procedures
- support with customer analysis and scoring
- assist the contract preparation; and
- collections support in close cooperation with Financial Services Manager.
Minimum Skills and Qualifications:
- Newly Qualified CA (SA)
- Office Suite Literacy
- English proficiency
- Professional, energetic, dynamic and positive team player with great business acumen
- Ability to work well within a high-pressure environment
- Must be able to liaise on all levels in the organization
- Willing to work extended hours during financial reporting cycles as well as during ad hoc reporting periods.
