Organization Description

Markets Technology provides end to end technology solutions for the firm's Investment Banking, Sales & Trading and Risk Management business areas. JPMorgan plans to fully renovate its Securities Processing technology platforms across multiple businesses (Equities, Fixed Income, Prime Brokerage and Custody) and across all markets we operate in. This is large scale change program to be rolled out over the next 3-5 years that will deliver significant change to both our trading business and operational teams. This is an exciting opportunity to join an award winning technology team delivering a very high profile program across the front to back technology stack.

Job Description

As an experienced VP Business Analyst, you thrive at managing complex technology projects that have far-reaching implications for clients, employees, and stakeholders throughout the firm. This role requires a strong grasp of the big picture coupled with technical skills to gather and investigate requirements for technology teams, as well as a keen ability to establish priorities and manage delivery. You'll work closely with colleagues and users across the Operations space to translate their business requirements into technical specifications. This role requires a wide range of strengths and capabilities, including:
  • Analyzing and documenting large scale Financial Systems.
  • Gather, analyze, document and communicate requirements as well as maintain project plans and track project status.
  • Responsible for acquiring stakeholder consensus for all documented business requirements.
  • Work with the different development teams to assist in documenting the system designs.
  • Act as a liaison between Business Users/SMEs and developers to ensure proper documentation of the application requirements and technical specifications in order to produce comprehensive functional requirements.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of QA/UAT testing
  • Assist in tracking demands
  • Should provide inputs for decision making. Capacity planning, schedule mgmt., roadmaps & able to deliver estimates grounded on data.
  • Should understand overall control objectives for the JIRA and overall SCRUM management.

Qualifications
  • Multiple years of hands-on Business Analysis experience.
  • Experience in Agile methodologies as BA/Scrum Master.
  • Experienced in collecting, organizing and tracking requirements (requirements management).
  • Excellent analytical skills, especially pertaining to data analysis.
  • Project Management experience is preferred.
  • Financial Services systems experience.
  • Understanding of Middle Office Operations and Post Trade is strongly preferred.
  • Understanding of SQL and ability to construct simple queries.
  • Must have excellent oral and written skills being able to communicate effectively on both a technical and business level.
  • Must have experience with gathering requirements and working with technical staff to develop system designs.
  • Must have experience with the following set of tools: Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, JIRA.
