My client is a very well known manufacturing brand who are continually adding to their client portfolio to mirror their current development in today's market. They operate nationally and are now expanding to other countries to continually generate profit.

Description

The duties for the Assistant Accountant are as follows:

• Management of the payment run and bank reconciliation process
• Assisting the purchase ledger team with daily queries
• Processing purchase and sales invoices
• Process manual payments
• Exchange rates upload to the Navision system
• Production and distribution of monthly rolling forecast reports
• Posting revaluations
• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
• Posting monthly journals
• Managing the Fixed Asset register
• Analysis of monthly variances
• Collating of the VAT returns from UK regions
• Supporting the management accounts team with submitting the VAT return
• Collating and review of staff benefit costs from the UK regions to be submitted to HMRC on an annual basis as part of the PAYE settlement agreement

Profile

The successful candidate for the Assistant Accountant would:

• Experience in a similar role
• Proficient in excel
• Currently studying a Finance qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA)
• Excellent communication skills
