Michael Page are recruiting for an Interim Management Accountant to join a Public Sector organisation based in Wakefield.

Client Details

The client is a well known and highly regarded public sector organisation based in Wakefield. It has a stable finance team and are offering a great opportunity for a Management Accountant to report directly into the Head of Finance and to work closely together. They are offering a mix of home and office working and are close to public transport links and parking. They are offering this role on an interim basis for around 3- 6 months.

Description

As an Interim Management Accountant you will report into the Head of Finance. Duties will include but are not limited to, preparing financial reports, producing budgets and forecasts, working with budget holders and stakeholders, line management of a member of staff, producing budget reconciliations, month end and year end duties, providing reports to senior management, managing the budget setting process, dealing with queries and other ad hoc duties.

Profile

The successful candidate will:

• Be a fully Qualified Accountant ACCA/ CIMA/ ACA/ CIPFA ESSENTIAL
• Have set budgets and forecasts previously ESSENTIAL
• Have worked in a management accounting role previouslyESSENTIAL
• Be immediately available or on a maximum of 2 weeks notice ESSENTIAL

Job Offer

£42,000- £48,000 equivalent on a daily rate basis + Interim Management Accountant opportunity + Wakefield based + 3-6 months + immediate start + weekly pay
