The very successful Audit team at a leading Big 4 firm are looking for a number of Auditors Assistant manager to join their fantastic Manchester team.

 

We are looking for Qualified, or Finalist level auditors who are looking to take that next step into a big 4 firm.

 

We are looking for Assistant managers who have focused on one or more of the below sectors:

  • Public sector
  • PE backed
  • Asset management
  • Insurance
  • Pensions based
  • IT Audit
  • ESG
  • Corporates
  • Banking
  • Real estate asset management

 

 

The day to day responsibilities will involve:

  • Planning and project managing all aspects of audits. Leading teams on the ground, reporting directly to the manager on a day to day basis.
  • Budgeting and monitoring the financial performance of projects, focusing on optimising profitability.
  • Identifying, researching and helping to resolve complex audit issues. Supervising and coaching junior members of staff to help them realise their full potential.
  • Building relationships with the client staff and acting as an ambassador for the firm. Keeping up to date with the firms product and service offerings and identifying the sales opportunities that will help us grow our business.
  • Reporting to audit managers/Senior managers and partners on all salient points arising from audits.
  • Analyses problems, identifies core issues, investigates, evaluates and integrates information.
  • Monitors and upholds high quality of service and products to clients (internal and external).
  • Well-developed leadership and supervisory skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals both internally and externally at different seniority levels.
  • Well-developed understanding of the wider commercial background that the firm operates in demonstrating awareness of the issues facing our clients on a day to day basis.

 

 

The experience and skills required for this role are as follows:

  • Recent and significant experience as an external auditor in a professional services environment, including exposure to mixed sector clients.
  • Good working knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Analyses problems, identifies core issues, investigates, evaluates and integrates information. Identifies and pursues business opportunities.
  • Recently qualified ACA or equivalent qualification. We will also consider candidates who are exam qualified and/or nearing full qualification.
  • Good working knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Takes personal responsibility and accountability for own work.
  • Sustains a high level of drive, shows enthusiasm and a positive attitude. Seeks out feedback and development opportunities.
  • Gives clear directions, positive and constructive feedback. Coaches less experienced staff.
