The role is to lead the Company's Finance Team regarding accounting processes and ensure compliance with the necessary laws and regulations. The position reports directly to the Financial Controller-APAC.

Client Details

Our client is an emerging global freight forwarding company present in more than 30 countries through its extensive network of subsidiaries and affiliated companies.


  • Responsible/handle for all accounting activities and prepare financial accounts with variance analysis, assisting departments with annual budgets/forecasts and reviews, internal control and tax matters
  • Perform root-cause finance and business variance analysis and provide recommendation for resolution
  • Business partner with country manager to ensure that KPI is being achieved
  • Customer credit risk management to be compile with company policies
  • Ensure timely reporting to Head Office in Dubai
  • Ensure compliance with local statutory reporting requirements, financial accounting regulations etc.
  • Handle quarterly submission of GST, annual tax submission and compliance matters, liaising with the company secretary, submission of government statistics matter etc
  • Preparation of statutory financial statements, government submission, liaising with auditor and tax agent etc.
  • Oversee/handle day to day operational and treasury matters
  • Prepare management report by line of service and provide variance analysis
  • Data management to safeguard the company's assets and interests
  • Other tasks include monitoring the financial position, financial performance and cash flows of the company; revising any discrepancies of reports; and checking the company's assets and liabilities that could affect its equity in the future
  • Supervise a team of accounting staff
  • Continuous improvement on process re-engineering
  • Support any other ad-hoc duties/projects as required


  • Bachelors' Degree in Accounting/Finance/ACCA
  • Minimum more than 8 years of relevant experience with Big 4 experience & freight forwarding background will be advantageous
  • Extensive knowledge in fast-paced technologies and accounting programs
  • Strong analytical and accounting technical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Problem solving and analytical skills; must excel at identifying and defining clearly problems, evaluating different ideas/options to solve the problems, and making decisions on the best solutions
  • Proficient computer skills such as Microsoft Office is necessary and Dynamics Axapta 365 (DAX) will be a plus knowledge
  • Able to agile in a fast-paced working environment, strong teamwork, hardworking, work on demand & hand-on
  • Able to multi-task, organize, prioritize work and communicate effectively with staff at all levels
  • Able to start work within a short notice.
