The client are a retail company, that specialise in beauty products (make-up, nails etc.). The head office is based in the West End (Oxford Street) and they are looking for a permanent Payroll Assistant to join the team. You will be working very closely with both the HR and Finance team, and the company has a brilliant culture. THE ROLE IS URGENT AND THEY ARE LOOKING FOR AN IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE CANDIDATE.
Client Details
The client are a beauty retail company and they are growing rapidly. They have approximately 26 stores/branches across the UK and the products are also available from retailers such as Next and ASOS. The role will report directly into both the Head of Finance and Head of HR, and the successful candidate will be given control of all the Payroll processing. Description
The successful Payroll Assistant will:
· Processing UK Payroll on a monthly basis
· Respond and resolve payroll queries
· Collate and check payroll data using intermediate Excel skills
· Processing new starters, leavers, maternity, amendments etc. on HR and payroll system
· Ensure correct HMRC PAYE reporting compliance including payments and RTI
· Assess and confirm accuracy of payroll information from outsourced payroll provider
· Completing monthly payroll and HR reports including any ad-hoc reports as required
Profile
The successful Payroll Assistant will:
· Planning and time management required to ensure deadlines are met
· Organisational skills are of high importance to keep track of the status of all issues and ensure speedy resolution
· A process improvement mind set and problem-solving abilities
· Relationship Building will be required to maintain a good relationship with key internal and external stakeholders
· Strong inter-personal and communication skills
· Must have good excel skills, Advance excel would be ideal but not essential
· Excellent numeracy skills
· The capability to work in a team
· Strong administrative skills in driving forwards improvement leading to more efficient and accurate payroll processing
· Systems literate -PC, and all Microsoft Office packages essential
· Experience of providing a customer centric payroll service
· Self-directed, proactive, and a strong sense of personal accountability
· Ability to work on your own or in teams
