A global law firm based in the Manchester area are looking for an In House Tax Accountant to join their growing tax team.

The role will be a mix of corporation tax, VAT, partnership tax as well as other projects.

The office is based in the Manchester area with the opportunity to work 2 or 3 days from home.

Description

As In House Tax Accountant your responsibilities will include assisting the Partner Service & Tax team with the firm's tax compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Partnership Tax

* Assist with the preparation and submission of all corporate tax returns and computations
* Assist with the preparation and submission of all Partnership tax returns and computations, which includes capital allowance
* Arrange other ad hoc UK tax filings
* Arrange quarterly corporation tax payments

VAT


* Assist with the preparation and submission of all VAT returns
* Assist with the VAT leger reconciliations
* Assist F&A with audit question
* Assist stakeholder with VAT queries

Partner Tax

* Provide assistance to in house tax advisors for partner tax return preparations
* Prepare profit estimates for third party financial advisors
* Assist with the partner tax reserves and reconciliations
* Arrange January/July partner tax payments

Partner Accounting

* Post EMEA tax related transactions into accounts software
* Other adhoc projects (including general ledger account reconciliations) and cover for partnership analyst if absent
* Assist other members within the partner service & tax team with adhoc queries to include but not limited to GL postings and report queries

Ad hoc projects

* Assist with ad hoc projects as they arise

Profile

The successful In House Tax Accountant will:

* Experience of working within a professional services background, either within an accounting practice and would like to diversify in law firms or currently working within a law firm
* Advanced use of excel
* An understanding of UK tax system
* Formal accounting or tax qualification

* Excellent verbal and written communication
* A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues in London and our international offices
* Trustworthy, with the ability to deal with confidential information with a high level of discretion

Job Offer

They are offering £50,000 - £60,000 (depending on experience) + flexibility + other exciting benefits.

The office is based in the Manchester area with the opportunity to work 2 or 3 days from home if preferred.
