I am looking for a Compliance Business Partner to join our team in Leeds, working remotely as the norm but with periodic face-to-face interaction with your team and the wider business. As Compliance Business Partner you will be a subject matter expert, building strong and influential relationships across all business functions to deliver specialist ongoing compliance advice and guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner the business to promote awareness and enhancement of an appropriate compliance culture
  • Guide and support the wider business through informed and compelling advice to influence its compliance with legislative and regulatory obligations, reinforcing the customer-centric imperative
  • Assist with the implementation and maintenance a robust suite of compliance-related policies, ensuring opportunities for enhancement are promptly raised with the Head of Compliance
  • Actively promote and participate/collaborate in education and awareness of regulator/business requirements through workshop/meetings and discussions surrounding understanding, impact and how knowing the power of why matters
  • Bring to the attention of colleagues and management any areas where there is perceived regulatory risk and work co-operatively with them to resolve issues
  • Take ownership of own competence and professional development by seeking out opportunities for coaching, nomination for internal or external courses and workshops
  • Remain up to date with all relevant regulatory change to ensure that all policy and advice work remains accurate and informed
  • Provide content for inclusion within board and senior management-level governance information packs and MI packs, as required by the Head of Compliance
  • Compliance with company policies and procedures

Profile

Role Requirements:

  • 2 + years of financial services compliance role
  • Compliance/business assurance experience
  • Good working knowledge and understanding of financial services industry regulatory requirements
  • Task management experience, including remote working
  • Experience in contributing to creation and maintenance of compliance-related policy suites
  • Encouraging to team and colleagues; able to influence and mentor others
  • Computer literate (including, Office 365 - MS Excel, Power Point and Word)
  • Good communication, listening, conflict resolution and Interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
  • Good attention to detail
