You will:
- Perform reviews of indirect tax returns and relating balance sheet and expense reconciliations, approve tax filings and associated payments
- Contribute to process improvement/transformation projects, enhance controls, co-ordinate support for tax audits and work closely with key contacts across locations
- Support management, help to organize and to develop the US Non-Income tax team from people and workload perspective
- Provide regular status report and commentary for Indirect Tax Management
- Develop practical knowledge of the Firm's business and understand how your role fits into itI-LB1
Qualifications
You have:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting/Business Studies and min 5 years of experience preferably in the area of accounting or indirect tax
- Sound numeric skills and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills and ability to deal with multiple issues and under pressure
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Solid Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel
- Fluency in English (both verbal and written)
- Keen to learn about US indirect tax rules
- Professional accounting or tax adviser qualification/studying (ACCA, CIMA, CTA or equivalent) is an advantage
Team Profile: The Indirect Tax group provides Morgan Stanley with global in-house expertise, primarily in VAT/GST and US Non-Income Tax. The team in Budapest currently increases its global footprint and will be a vital part of the global indirect tax coverage.
