Who we are looking for:

A Business Risk Management professional to become an Issue Management SME and drive Issue Management discipline within EMEA Global Delivery and Institutional Services Business Risk Organization. Ideally, we are looking for a candidate with risk management experience, ability to effectively challenge Business in the Financial industry and senior stakeholders management skills.

Why this role is important to us:

GS/IS BRM Issue Management is a global Business Risk discipline that focuses on managing and ensuring remediation of Issues for Business teams. This includes driving Business to identify, escalate and remediate known control gaps in collaboration with ERM, Compliance and Audit, if required.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Implement Issue Management Framework across Global Delivery and Institutional Services in EMEA
  • Monitor and proactively challenge on remediation steps and corrective action plans from control review findings to implementation
  • Coordinate with the other Business Risk disciplines in order to ensure all potential Issues are escalated and managed in line with the Issue Management Framework
  • Establish positive relationships with key functional teams and leaders within first line of defense business lines. Develop same with Operational Risk, Compliance, and Internal Audit. Instill confidence by demonstrating credibility and expertise on control issues
  • Lead meetings and discussions regarding Issue Management and first line Business Risk
  • Ensure quality data for periodic status reviews of open Issues
  • Coordinate with inter-connected risk initiatives
  • Build strong relationships with other Business Risk Management, Compliance, ERM, Audit, Legal and/or business colleagues; collaborate to achieve organizational goals
  • Continuously develop deep knowledge of core products, process, financial markets, technology, regulatory obligations and operating model changes; understand impact to your role and responsibilities
  • Take initiative to lead targeted projects to assess risk and control deficiencies as needed

Education & Preferred Qualification

  • University degree in Business majoring in Accounting, Finance, or other Financial-related programs
  • Overall experience of 7+ years in Financial services or risk management or both.
  • Experienced in Risk management
  • Comfortable interacting with senior executives
  • Professional writing capabilities
  • Good to have: familiarity with Archer, Box, SharePoint and Teams
