The Financial Accounting Senior Specialist is the key to support multi-dimension client requests riding on pre-defined workflows, technologies, and systems. The Senior Specialist will need to perform/review accounting activities for business units or clients of the Shared Services Center (SSC). This individual would report directly to the Team Lead.
The successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to experience MNC interactions, finalising financial statements to comply with local ASEAN regulatory compliances, and preparing reporting packs for consolidation into our clients’ global reporting framework.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
1) Prepare full sets of financial statements, from accounting entries to reconciliations, schedules, and notes to the accounts
2) Related accounting functions including payment inputs and AR Reminders processing and other deliverables
3) Review and be responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of work performed by specialists
4) Guide and train specialists in attaining process competence
5) Support the Team Lead and Operations Manager to implement new processes and projects
5) Handle ad hoc activities as assigned.
Key Requirements:
1) Possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or a professional qualification i.e. ACCA/CPA/MICPA
2) Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience
3) Have strong knowledge in Accounting Standards, Bookkeeping, and Reporting and an eye for details
4) Business level English with strong communication skills, and literacy in Chinese
5) Able to provide guidance, support, and motivation to a team of 3 to 5 specialists
6) Excellent time management and planning skills to meet deadlines
7) Motivation to achieve the objectives of the company and the team.
8) Understand SSC's work culture
9) Intermediate Microsoft Office skill is essential and advanced skill is desirable.
10) Familiar in accounting software is an advantage such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV, NetSuite, etc.
