The Role and the Team

We are seeking a highly motivated Revenue Accounting Manager with excellent communication, organizational, time-management and analytical skills to add leadership to our team. In this highly visible role, you will manage the daily activities and staff of the revenue accounting department. You will be one of the main points of contact to ensure accurate revenue reporting, accounting data and compliance with applicable standards and policies to ensure compliance with GAAP.

Job Requirements

The What:

• Review contracts and purchase orders to ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with GAAP and internal policies
• Partner and establish strong lines of communication with cross-functional teams to advise on non-standard revenue transactions and revenue impacting matters
• Proactively seek to improve processes related to revenue recognition and assist with the creation, implementation, and compliance of revenue recognition policies and procedures in accordance with ASC 606
• Review and verify the accuracy of account reconciliations and journal entries
• Provide guidance and training to the broader revenue accounting team
• Support internal and external audit, revenue-related projects, and ad hoc requests as needed

The How:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CIMA, ACCA or similar level qualification
• Experience in accounting in industry and/or public accounting firm, focus on SaaS revenue recognition preferred
• Proficient knowledge and experience with ASC 606 or IFRS 15 and multiple-element arrangements
• Solid organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and execute in a dynamic environment with attention to detail
• Experience leading and managing a team
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, collaboration and influencing skills to identify problems and provide solutions
