Transfer Pricing & International Tax Manager

Are you a Transfer Pricing and International Tax expert? We currently have a vacancy for a Transfer Pricing & International Tax Manager within our Group Tax team based at our Farnborough office. You will be expected to work in the office for around 1 - 2 days per week, to enable some face to face working with the rest of the team, with the ability to otherwise work from certain other BAE offices or home.

You will be part of the Group Tax team which has ultimate responsibility for taxation policies and compliance carried out in the BAE Group. It has in-house teams in the UK, USA and Australia, and oversees all aspects of Group companies' tax obligations including dealing with corporate and income taxes, taxes withheld at source, sales taxes, customs duties and employee taxes.

As a Transfer Pricing & International Tax Manager, you will report into the Head of Transfer Pricing and be responsible for exercising judgement with regards to transfer pricing, tax supply chain issues, international direct tax, M&A and identification and input into the management of tax risk.

Your main responsibilities as Transfer Pricing & International Tax Manager will involve:

  • Supporting the Head of Transfer Pricing in developing and maintaining transfer pricing policy, including the pricing of intellectual property, central group cost and allocation models and treasury arrangements.
  • Provide tax advice on a wide range of transfer pricing matters.
  • Provide advice on tax supply chain matters.
  • Provide tax advice on UK and international direct tax matters.
  • Provide advice on mergers, acquisitions and disposals.
  • Develop and manage relationship with key business partners.
  • Coordinate and partner with the other group tax advisory and tax compliance teams.
  • Monitor external environment for regulatory changes and interpret implications for BAE Systems.
  • Identification and assist with management of transfer pricing and direct tax risk.
  • Develop and manage relationship with key business partners.
  • Continued professional development in subject matter area of expertise to best advise the business.
  • Communicate complex tax concepts in an understandable manner.

Your skills and qualifications:


  • Qualified tax professional with relevant experience gained in professional services and/or an in-house tax role.
  • Good technical skills in transfer pricing, international tax, corporate, withholding tax, and M&A.
  • Experience in working across international boundaries
  • Qualified to a degree level or similar.
  • Chartered Tax Advisor
  • Qualified Accountant (desired but not required)

Location: Farnborough (open to alternative locations however travel to Farnborough will be required)

Salary: £73,000+ company benefits in addition
