Assistant Financial Accountant

This Assistant Financial Accountant role based in Coventry for this leading Aerospace business will manage the general ledger processes and coordinate relevant financial accounting requirements across the organisation. You will manage a variety of tasks and report to the General Ledger Manager whilst also supporting various stakeholders across the business.

Description

The Assistant Financial Accountant role in Coventry will include:

• Geneal ledger maintenance and financial accounting
• VAT Returns and relevant HMRC reporting
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Journals, accruals and prepayments
• Supporting Financial Accountants with necessary financial reporting

Profile

To be successful in this Assistant Financial Accountant role the ideal candidate will need previous financial accounting exposure (ideally within a large company environment although not essential) be dedicated to professional development and ideally studying towards a professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA). You will be skilled in the use of Excel and able to communicate professionally and confidently with stakeholders of all levels. Thorough understanding of general ledger and financial accounting processes is essential. Knowledge of various ERP systems including SAP would be highly desirable.
