Here at Serco we are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our Justice and Immigration (J&I) sector - delivering across the various business contracts, you will work play a vital role in improving the technology and processes we use.

Using your previous Business Analyst experience, you'll first gain a thorough understanding of our business, the technology we use, and our ongoing needs and problems. You'll then work with our internal and external stakeholders to arrive at the solutions - orchestrating and driving the changes needed. Your strong mathematical ability and good communication skills will ensure you can deliver accountabilities such as:

  • Elicit, validate, prioritise and document business and technical requirements
  • Proactively communicate with external and internal stakeholders
  • Collaborate with technical architects to understand technology limitations and recommend development options to meet business needs
  • Undertake complex process mapping exercises

What you'll need to do the role

You must hold a recognised qualification in Business Analytics, preferably certified through the BCS and hold a minimum Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (preferably Black Belt) with a working knowledge of Business Analytics.

You will have a clear understanding of business analysis in practice, requirements engineering and modelling business processes as well as an understanding of systems architecture and the human interaction with the components of the system

As someone with a Business Analyst background, you'll be able to demonstrate previous experience of business analytics and have a good understanding of IT and data processing systems. Naturally you'll need to be an excellent stakeholder manager along with the drive and capability to work in a fast-paced changing environment.

You will be required to travel throughout the contract as and when needed, so you'll need to have a driving licence - although a company car is provided.
