The job: Business Analyst

Based at our site in Inchinnan, Paisley this position sits as part of the EMEA Operations IT team supporting the Distribution & Logistics business functions and related systems. This includes support for systems such as Oracle Enterprise 9.0, SAP, Manhattan WMOS 2018, QAD Precision v9 and others. In this role you will have the opportunity to contribute in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing and support.

What will you do?

  • Participate in and/or lead requirements and design
  • Document business requirements and business process flows
  • Manage enhancements and small project delivery, including scope, schedule, budget and quality
  • Participate in Practical Process Improvement Kaizen events to provide input on Logistics related IT systems and processes.
  • Partner with system analysts on technical design and coordinate development work with development teams
  • Coordinate changes requiring infrastructure team involvement
  • Configure E1, Precision Trax and WMS systems to meet business requirements
  • Create and execute test scripts, capture defects, verify fixes and report updates
  • Coordinate and perform functional, end-to-end regression, load testing and smoke testing
  • Configuration and support of pack station equipment and RF scanners

Who we are looking for:
  • Functional experience in E1 (JDE) or SAP, including Inventory Management, Work Order Management, Procurement, Pick Pack Ship, and Intercompany processes.
  • Experience with technologies and processing environments used to support the Pick, Pack, Ship (PPS) process, such as Warehouse Management, Transportation Management and Order Management systems;
  • Experience with Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Solid organizational skills (especially as they relate to data collection and reporting), a multi-tasking style and project management approach
  • Strong oral and written communications skills, ability to develop and maintain business/technical documentation, and robust interpersonal and analytical skills required
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and a rapidly changing environment
