Working as part of a Payroll team of 3, the Senior Payroll Administrator will act as number 2 to the Payroll Manager - taking responsibility for up-skilling the more junior member of the team and deputising for the Payroll Manager when they're not present.

The Payroll team will sit alongside and work very closely with the Finance team.

Description

The Senior Payroll Administrator role involves;

Customer focus

  • Provide mortgage reference needs to staff in a timely manner
  • Providing advice with regards to company policies relating to payroll and leave pay entitlement queries

Payroll process and accuracy

  • Process and check commission, incentive and bonuses submitted by accountants for payment
  • Process wage changes for staff (promotions, wage increases etc)
  • Ensuring starters / movers and leavers are paid according to contract
  • Provide payroll analysis and reporting to Finance and the business
  • Posting the Payroll journals into the accounting system and providing information to the relevant accountant for the monthly Payroll reconciliation
  • Ensure compliance with current payroll legislation

Personnel Data Accuracy

  • Maintaining personnel files for all staff
  • Responding to HM revenue & Customs correspondence
  • Maintain starters / mover / leavers and promotions on ADP and CORE (global database)

Payroll Analysis

  • Payroll cost analysis to the business to encompass all pay related items and report trends across brands and longevity of consultants.

Profile

The ideal candidate for the Senior Payroll Administrator role will;

  • have worked in a similar role previously
  • have dealt with large volumes of data, and have strong reconciliations experience
  • any experience or understanding of Finance/Accounting would be advantageous
  • will ideally have ADP Freedom & HR.Net experience (not essential)

Job Offer

The Senior Payroll Administrator role offers a salary up to £33,000 per annum.

Standard hours; Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm (some flexibility is available)

Home based working - this role will be based in the office for 3 days per week, and 2 days per week from home.
