This position within our EMEA Center of Excellence team of 7 analysts is based in the European headquarters in Hoofddorp, The Netherlands and reporting directly to the Applied Materials Head of EMEA Center of Excellence. You will be working in a cross functional structure within a matrix organization, the role is hands on and includes monitoring, overseeing and communicating between outsourced service providers, internal stakeholders and auditors. The role requires teaming up with colleagues throughout Europe, Asia and the US. The role consists of supporting 2 segments: Corporate Functions and Equipments Product Group.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analysis - providing various analysis and reporting on Actuals. Analysis, interpretation and commentary delivered to internal customers. For example:
- Revenue and cost analysis
- Tracks labor hour trends to analyze utilization of workforce
- Gross margin movements
- Spending forecasts (Corp Functions)
- Business Partnering - work closely with your team members, Business Control and Operations to build relationships and share analysis and propose corrective actions to support the business
- Month Ends - Revenue accruals, deferred revenue management, spending reviews, margin reviews, account reconciliations and other duties as necessary
- Audits - Supporting internal and external audits and the preparation of the quarterly balance sheet review package
- Continuous Improvement - Identifies process improvement opportunities to drive time and cost efficiencies
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong financial technical expertise,
- analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong customer service focus
- Ability to interact with multiple levels of the organization ranging from line level to senior management as well as BPO provider
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbally and in writing)
- Strong time management, organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent computer skills: SAP, Excel, Tableau, PowerBI, PowerPoint)
- Advanced Knowledge of the English language

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor or Master in Finance, Business Controlling or Accounting
- 5+ years of experience in a Financial analysis/Business Controlling position
