You will have the opportunity to be part of a larger Strategy & Transactions team that creates and delivers broad, analytics-enabled solutions.

The opportunity

EY has a rapidly growing Corporate Finance practice. We assist our clients in areas ranging from capital allocation and strategic alternative decisions to forecasting and scenario planning and balance sheet optimization. You can develop your career through a broad scope of engagements, mentoring, and formal learning. We develop outstanding leaders who team to deliver to all of our stakeholders, and in so doing we play a critical role in building a better working world for our people, for our clients, and for our communities.

Your key responsibilities

As a manager within Corporate Finance, you will spend your day taking solutions to market with existing and target clients, then leading the professional engagement execution team and finally communicating our advice to client executives and boards of directors.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Strategic mindset – as part of the team you will regularly advise businesses on corporate finance-related issues both as part of overall corporate strategy and as part of a specific transaction (e.g., acquisition, divestiture, debt financing, etc.)
  • Communication – you will work to gather the information necessary to inform strategic insights from various functional areas within a client's organization, as well as communicate our advice and findings back to the client's executive team or board of directors
  • Financial Analyses – you will use your strong technical skills as it relates to corporate finance concepts (e.g., ROIC, portfolio review and optimization, capital allocation, etc.)

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting or business and at least 5years of related corporate finance work experience; or a graduate degree and at least 4years of related corporate finance work experience. Specific areas of corporate finance experience include:
    • Capital allocation diagnostics, analyses, and advice
    • Quantifying the value impact of various strategic alternatives
    • Assisting clients with portfolio review and optimization

Ideally, you'll also have

  • Financial modeling / Powerpoint skills including experience building models/client report out decks
  • Demonstrated record of solving complex problems and completing challenging projects

What we look for

We are looking for candidates who are highly motivated, analytical, logical thinkers with a passion for solving complex corporate finance issues, and who have strong attention to detail. Being a dedicated team player is critical, as is the ability to adapt to changing requirements or deadlines in support of our client's goals.

What we offer

We offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.

  • Continuous learning: You’ll develop the mindset and skills to navigate whatever comes next.
  • Success as defined by you: We’ll provide the tools and flexibility, so you can make a meaningful impact, your way.
  • Transformative leadership: We’ll give you the insights, coaching, and confidence to be the leader the world needs.
