The opportunity
You will join our New York office Profit Improvement (PI) practice as part of EY Financial Services Organization (FSO). You will advise clients (C-suite, Business Unit Presidents, functional leaders) from financial institutions (e.g., Banking, Capital Markets, Insurance, Wealth and Asset Managers) to improve their profitability and performance as well as accelerate impact delivery
Your key responsibilities:
- You will assist in business development and lead the delivery of engagements, e.g.,
- Support the development of client proposals and thought leadership
- Using client's strategic objectives and fact-base, apply structured problem-solving to solve complex problems
- Define work-products, manage day-to-day activities of teams and deliver high quality client service
- Develop insights by engaging with senior client and EY leadership
- Stay abreast of leading industry practices and innovation
- Foster relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels. Consistently deliver quality client services
- Motivate and develop team members' capabilities
- You will work in small teams of highly motivated colleagues with various cultural and professional backgrounds
- You will also support developing new offerings and thought leadership to take to market, enhancing our capabilities and services

To qualify for the role you must have
- A bachelor's degree and approximately 5 years of related work experience or a graduate degree and approximately 4 years of related work experience
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
- More than 3 years of related work experience as a consultant in a professional services firm delivering advisory services or comparable experience working as an advisor to a financial services company is preferred

- Self-motivation to be a result-driven team player with the mindset of owning problems end-to-end
