The role of the Cost Accounting Finance Associate is to support Finance Business Partnering teams with Period End activities including accruals, prepayments and Balance Sheets. A fundamental role within the finance team with exposure to finance colleagues across Home Delivery, Retail and Marketing.

What you need to do
- Ownership of period end for Home Delivery/Marketing/Retail
- Monthly calculations of accruals and prepayments
- Periodic journal postings
- Weekly cash analysis and reforecasting
- Budget & forecasting of Cash and Balance Sheets
- Assisting with YE Audit preparations
- Balance sheet and P&L account reconciliations
- Periodic financial report production
- Other general accounting duties and ad-hoc work
What you need to know and show
- Studying towards a professional accounting qualification or qualified by experience
- Ability to work fluidly with data and across systems e.g. reporting tools
- Ability to drive process simplification and improvements
- Good analytical and Excel skills, attention to detail
- Experience in a large company environment, preferably retail (desired)
- Good planning and prioritisation skills

- Know when to check or consult with others to support a reporting architecture of insight
