Your field of responsibility

Responsible for Group/Treasury/ Capital Management reporting of people related expenses under various bonus and deferred compensation plans. The scope of coverage includes various stock and cash deferral plans awarded over a number of years, booked at Group consolidated/ various legal entities and currencies under US GAAP, IFRS, CH GAAP and local GAAP.

  • Responsible for CCAR projections for various deferral plans under Fed related stress-test scenarios
  • Involved in Month end / Quarter end close activities
  • Seek to prepare for the Year End statutory disclosures and audit
  • All operational aspects around internal MIS analysis and reporting of people related expenses under various bonus and deferred compensation plans.
  • Month end / Quarter end analysis of P&L and Balance sheet
  • Financial Planning and Forecasting for employee compensation
  • Preparation of various MIS and Group reports and analyses and interaction with business partners

Your future colleagues

The Compensation Accounting function in Singapore is organized within Group Finance (CFO). This is a global function and covers accounting, control and reporting of employee compensation which includes both deferred stock and cash and cash bonus, and its related FX. The scope of coverage includes accounting and reporting of various deferral plans awarded over a number of years, booked in various legal entities and currencies under US GAAP, IFRS, CH GAAP and local GAAP.

The team comprised of 6 employees who works closely with the Group, Divisional and Legal Entity Finance teams, HR, Treasury and Tax. This is a diverse-team with a mixture of senior and junior members. The team believes in open and honest communication and operates in a motivated and productive environment. Team-work is key to accomplish all deliverables on timely manner.

Your skills and experience

The primary focus of the team is to develop, implement and operate robust and efficient controls and procedures to ensure accurate and timely reporting of people related expenses under various GAAPs and delivery of expense management information and analyses.

  • Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in a high pressure, deadline focused commercial environment or audit and assurance function
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Previous work experience in Banking and Finance is preferred but not necessary.
  • Previous exposure to MIS reporting and/or compensation accounting is a plus
  • Outstanding technical background in accounting and management
  • A logical mind set with a high level of attention to detail and can thrive under pressure
  • Committed and determined self-starter and a team-player
  • Knowledge of various GAAPs relating to Compensation Accounting is an advantage
