Job Description

  1. Financial Analysis is responsible for partnering across the firm to provide financial and strategic analysis, oversight, and coordination of budgeting and forecasting. Our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) teams are responsible for a wide range of activities including financial control, forecasting and budgeting, analysis of financial/business metrics, delivery of weekly/monthly/quarterly management reporting, development of new reporting capabilities (e.g. dashboards), and advising the line of business CFOs on how to increase profitability and efficiencies.

You will be responsible for one of our key financial measures such as revenues, expenses, headcount, or profitability modelling, where you will be expected to deliver value-added financial reporting and analysis, and assist with strategic direction and decision making. You will be expected to provide leadership across the FP&A teams, and interact regularly with the FP&A Managers, the line of business CFOs and peers across Finance & Business Management and the business.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Prepare materials for GCB and IB country / industry business reviews the senior heads in the business   
  • Partner with the product, country and regional business managers to drive the expense management agenda, including T&E, Technology spend, headcount spend and recommend target to the business to control costs.
  • Assist the team in annual planning process across revenues, expenses, headcount and balance sheet, both in terms of preparation of templates and data integrity  
  • Support the senior members of the P&A team to conduct in-depth analysis on various business initiatives
  • Benchmark business performance against our peers within the region / country 
  • Establish a new mechanism for ESG & Sustainability financial reporting in EMEA and meet the ESG team’s monthly reporting requirements.

  • Strong analytical and numeric skills, excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to work well independently and partner effectively
  • Disciplined approach to managing processes and controls with a view to improve
  • An understanding of Investment Banking (M&A, ECM and DCM) products a plus
