Huntsman Global Business Services is looking for Corporate Internal Audit – Data Analyst. The key purpose of the role is Projects and Data Analytics: Drive change and increase efficiency through automation and analytics on a global level. The ideal candidate will be responsible to manage data analytical projects and tasks to drive continuously improve and automation within the audit cycle, setup and design continuous monitoring and auditing, provide ad-hoc senior management reporting and analytics.

What will your day to day look like? 

  • Contact within the organization with regards to data analytics from an audit perspective
  • Maintain close working relationships with all relevant internal and external parties.
  • Responsible for the training and development of the team, whether on-the-job or via external/internal trainings.
  • Responsible for maintaining & updating computer-assisted audit techniques (CAATs) tools & ACL scripts to improve the audit process.
  • Develop plans and execute strategies inclusive of training programs for internal auditors to leverage the potential of technology and keep pace with technological advancements.
  • Perform technical business analysis upon management request by collecting, analyzing and interpreting data and its results before further communication to the respective stakeholders
  • Drive data analytics processes to create insights into trends with business intelligence technique such as dashboarding for audit strategy towards risk-based approach
  • Perform data gathering, validation and analysis from various source systems to transform data into meaningful insights as part of continuous auditing process and provides better visibility to support business decision making.
  • Ensure quality assurance of imported data, working with multiple parties i.e. data owners or business process owners if necessary
  • Support implementations for existing/new initiatives with continuous and ad-hoc data requests
  • Requires global travel, up to max 30%
  • Ability to independently perform/assist in IT or OPS audits

 

What skills and experiences are we looking for?

  • Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or Engineering or related discipline
  • Experience in data analytics within a large organization.
  • Experience in internal/external audit within a public accounting firm is a plus
  • Strong knowledge in broad based functional and technical knowledge of data in one or more SAP modules (FI/CO, MM, SD or PM)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as ability to communicate to all levels of Management
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel and ACL scripting knowledge.
  • Certification such as CISA, CISM etc. is an advantage
  • Knowledge of control frameworks such as COBIT, VAL-IT and ITIL is an added value
  • Eager to learn, self-development, accountability and high reliability are key.
  • University degree in Finance/Business or related field; an additional degree in internal audit would be an asset.
  • Experienced in a business analytical function
  • Strong analytical and persuasive skills, able to communicate at all levels
  • Excellent reporting and communication in English
  • Ability to work with stakeholders to assess potential risks.
  • Willingness to travel on an occasional basis is essential
  • IT-literate.
  • SOX 404 audit experience is an advantage
  • Team oriented, people management/soft skills required.
  • Strong or adequate SAP technical and business processes understanding and technical data knowledge & structures
  • Profound ACL scripting (or equivalent e.g. SQL) knowledge
