The Role Responsibilities

Strategy
  • Assist Group Personal Banking and CCPL heads to formulate various business strategies and ensure efficient deployment of resources and capital.
  • Tracking progress and results of initiatives to ensure Personal Banking and CCPL business is on path to breakeven/profitability

Business
  • Monthly tracking of detailed Segment (Personal Banking) and Product level financials (CC/ PIL), including KPIs & accuracy thereof
  • Providing insights into variance vs. budget as well as understanding financial performance trends
  • Providing financial forecast including key drivers and metrics by incorporating business initiatives, macro-economic factors and operational/strategic priorities, at product level
  • Provide critical inputs into early stage evaluation of digital partnership business cases, working with CFO, Personal, Business Banking & Digital
  • Monthly tracking of agreed Partnership KPIs, proving insights into trends
  • Lead product level financial analytics, supporting detailed business reviews with relevant leads

Processes
  • Ensure alignment of P&L reporting across income and cost lines

Risk Management
  • Provide Group Personal Banking management team with early indications of risks and opportunities to budget via monthly forecasting process

Governance
  • Ensure correct accounting and reporting standards are applied to CCPL business across all markets

Regulatory & Business Conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
  • Exercise authorities delegated by the Board of Directors and act in accordance with Articles of Association

  • Country/Regional Finance, Group Personal Banking & CCPL teams, GFS teams

Other Responsibilities
  • Provide ad-hoc support to business initiatives including projects, reviews, and presentations
