Reporting to the Finance Systems & Change Manager you will be responsible for day to day system administration support for all applications within the Finance Department.

Description

  • Managing system administration and housekeeping tasks for the accounting systems, particularly SAP/S4 HANA and BPC such as:
  • Resolving operating issues/errors and access issues to ensure system controls are robust and comply with company policy.
  • User access management, maintaining the chart of accounts, maintaining and setting up new companies.
  • Performing daily and periodic application and system checks, and take appropriate action to minimise system downtime and deliver outputs in a timely manner.
  • Configuring and maintaining the finance systems as required.
  • Responsible for period end ledger close, co-ordinating with senior Finance Managers to ensure delivery against the period end timetable.
  • User Support, in particular during the period end which may require some flexible working during peak times.
  • Identify and plan configuration changes to the finance systems with the Finance Systems and Change Manager, as required.
  • Ensure systems controls are performed and identify and implement additional control requirements.
  • Change control over Master data. Maintain, build and amend reports in SAP BPC/SAC reports with Finance Managers, therefore SAP BPC Consolidation experience is required.
  • Providing support to Continuous improvement initiatives as well as Projects around Finance systems.
  • Provide local technical knowledge on Finance systems
  • Management of the Finance ticketing system.
  • Support the Finance Systems and Change manager with process improvement, process mapping, controls & risk management, this may include Finance projects.
  • Work with internal and external auditors as required, demonstrating strong system and process controls

Profile

The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong understanding of key finance processes and have prior experience of supporting Finance systems. Excellent Excel skills are also an advantage.

You will have a methodical and analytical approach to problem solving, and will be able to work on your own initiative to complete set tasks within agreed timeframes. The ability to multi-task and provide excellent standards of customer service will be crucial.

Job Offer

Offering up to £50,000 per annum plus generous benefits.
