As the Assistant Accountant, your role will be to oversee the accounting function to include but not limited to reconciliations, invoicing, payment runs, cash flow, and starting to bring functions in house from external Accountants.

My client is a well-established ethical organisation operating within the Hospitality and Catering industry, with offices based on the outskirts of Brighton. Due to the nature of the business, having an ethical mindset/having a vegan diet would be advantageous.
Description
As an Assistant Accountant, your role responsibilities may include:
- Accounting via Xero software
- Identifying and implementing new processes, and improvements
- Preparing the accounts
- Inter-company invoicing between sister companies
- Regular payemnt runs
- Sending invoices and chasing outstanding payments
- Supplier queries
- Processing payroll
- Inputting NEST pensions
- Paying PAYE
- Bringing responsibilities in-house
Profile
To be successful in your application for Assistant Accountant, you should have:
- Experience working in Accounting, ideally within an SME
- Experience with Xero is highly advantageous
- Desire to progress internally, bringing more of the Accounting in-house
- An ethical mindset is a must, vegan diet is advantageous
