Amazon is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst within EU Global Transportation Services (GTS) Finance Team.
About the role:
As a Senior Finance Analyst of EU GTS, you will have end-to-end responsibility over Amazon's Outbound Transportation commercial negotiation activities in multiple EU marketplaces and support the Transportation network, collaborating with business leaders to deliver billions of packages. Partnering with the Procurement and Operations Leaders of EU GTS, you will have responsibility for billion dollar negotiation activities. You will set the vision for the finance team, including driving a technology vision to drive controllership and productivity within the team while also collaborating to reduce costs and improve quality within our deliveries. You will be able to both drive short-term improvement while also setting the long-term vision for both the finance team and the broader organization. This is a hugely exciting role for a finance leader able to drive commercial discussions, while maintaining focus on governance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide finance support to contract negotiation activities for EU GTS, ensuring Amazon's interests are protected, risks minimized, and highest standards are followed on financial assessments.
• Partner with the Procurement Leads and Operations Heads of EU GTS to build both short and long term business plans.
• Drive continuous improvement and standardization of processes, including implementation of best practices and automation initiatives.
• Own the tracking of commercial terms in contracts, and driving initiatives to ensure value maximization.
• Hire and develop the EU GTS Finance team, including developing and executing the team vision. Strategically upgrade the team through organizational planning and development.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics or similar degree
• Experience performing financial or other quantitative analyses with demonstrated career progression in a corporate setting
• Strong English language written and oral communication skills with an ability to concisely summarize relevant data and convey results by effectively articulating complex messages
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• MBA or Professional certification (CPA/CMA/Qualified Accounting certificate)
• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos)
