Welcome to BDO LLP, where we help people and businesses succeed.

As one of the UK’s largest accountancy and business advisory firms, we’re proud to work with a wide range of clients, from entrepreneurial enterprises to multinational groups, and we take the same pride in growing your career. With us, you’ll get plenty of opportunities to develop your skills in areas that include audit, tax advice, risk management, forensic accounting, business restructuring and corporate finance. But it’s the people you’ll meet who will really help you succeed.

At BDO, you can be yourself, sharing ideas and opinions with your team, and knowing you’ll be respected and valued for your contribution. You can have confidence that you are part of an organisation with purpose, where you’ll have variety and opportunity to build your career path alongside people who will help you achieve your goals.

We’ll help you succeed

On our 12 month Industrial placement programme, you’ll gain invaluable knowledge and skills and gain exposure to BDO and our people, which could lead to an offer of a graduate role.
During your programme, you’ll have the opportunity to explore some of the different specialisms within your stream and contribute to a range of client projects as part of the team. This will allow you to expand your portfolio of skills and experience a breadth of opportunity to increase your future options and build a platform to develop your career. Alongside extensive training, you’ll also have the opportunity to build your network with peers and colleagues for when you return after university.

Working hard and working together, our Tax team thrives on keeping busy. They service our clients around the world with everything from day-to-day compliance with tax authorities to advice on international tax to transaction support on mergers and acquisitions. That diversity of work requires a diversity of talents. Tax attracts specialists for the most technically complex challenges, versatile thinkers for large clients with varied problems and brilliant innovators who create tomorrow’s bespoke solutions.

You will work with other members of the Tax team in order to support clients in achieving their goals. This is realised through assisting with day-to-day tax compliance and through specific tax advice.

Tax compliance is an important service provided to clients to ensure that they are meeting their statutory obligations. In your role you will prepare tax returns, this will give you an insight into the client’s business and assist in developing your tax knowledge.

Further to tax compliance, you will be involved in advising clients in a wide variety of tax matters. It is important that you have a high level understand of the array of different taxes in order to flag potential risks or opportunities to clients.
