Overview of Your Role
We are looking for a highly technical Financial Accountant with extensive experience of IFRS, to support and assist the Finance Director & Senior Financial Accountant with management accounts, year-end accounts and audit process.

Your Responsibilities

1.     Support and review the preparation of Monthly Management accounts to include all relevant schedules and reconciliations.

2.     Preparation of Statutory year end accounts for submission to Companies House.

3.     Assist in preparing for year-end audit, compiling, and checking all information according to instruction in order to complete reports with ease.

4.     Supervise and support other team members where necessary.

5.     Work with the wider finance team to implement, track and report on all set KPIs.

6.     Maintain a good working knowledge of all updates in the finance industry to proactively suggest improvements to support the ongoing development of the team.

 

Your Key Skills, Experience & Attributes

Essential Skills:

  • ​ACCA qualified or equivalent.
  • Extensive knowledge of IFRS.
  • Extensive knowledge of group accounts and consolidation work.
  • Experienced in a general range of finance tasks, including monthly management accounts, bank related transactions, sales and purchase ledger reconciliations.
  • Excellent IT skills, comfortable using computerised accounting packages and with good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Adaptable – flexible in approach and quick to learn.
  • Excellent communication skills, in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced, demanding and changeable environment.
  • Ability to solve problems in a calm and methodical manner and use own initiative.
  • Well organised, with the ability to prioritise, multi-task and effectively meet deadlines.
  • Must currently have the right to live and work in the UK

  
Desirable Skills

  • Some background spent in accountancy practice is desirable.
  • Previous experience within a finance team of a public limited company.
