In a nutshell
This role will support the implementation of a management reporting and a planning, budgeting and forecasting (PBF) tool within the OneStream application and be responsible for end state functional support.
What you need to do
- Work with the finance team and project leads for reporting and PBF to support the implementation within OneStream
- Develop expert knowledge of the Sainsburys OneStream solution for reporting and PBF, including interfaces, processes and reporting outputs
- Develop training material in conjunction with the Projects leads to successfully land OneStream with the wider finance teams and broader business
- Ensure that day to day and monthly OneStream reporting and control processes are robust and effective, with appropriate internal controls in place
- Ensure interface's to and from OneStream are run accurately and efficiently on a regular basis
- Work closely with the counterparts within the financial systems group; provide guidance for production of reporting tools
- Ongoing development of key financial reports within OneStream (financial and non-financial) to help understand key drivers and enhance business performance
- To review the accounting and operational systems and related financial processes to meet the changing needs of the organisation
- To provide finance systems technical and financial support to the Finance team and business users
- Facilitate and support training for all business stakeholders in various locations with the Finance teams
- Proactively examining processes and seeking ways to improve, automate or otherwise extract efficiency
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to resolve system discrepancies and issues
- Knowledge and experience of Oracle GL
- Perform ad-hoc duties as required.
What you need to know and show
- Professionally Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
- Extensive knowledge of OneStream XL application (Desirable)
- Previous experience supporting and managing finance systems / ERP, including Oracle Financials in these modules- General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, Cash Management, Purchasing, i-Procurement, Fixed Assets
- Experience of working within a large-scale Retail environment
- Proven experience of managing finance systems and processes from end to end
- Curiosity beyond traditional finance boundaries and ability to understand key business drivers
- Confident to gain the support of senior management to make systems changes and with a character able to manage potential reluctance to these changes from users
- Ability to work to a high standard of accuracy with excellent attention to detail
- Self-starter with experience of understanding, documenting and accounting for business processes
- Ability to prioritise workload whilst managing business and finance stakeholder expectations in a fast paced, ever changing environment
- Proven ability and desire to deliver change
- Prior experience in a similar role.
