We are currently looking for a highly analytical and forward-thinking Financial Analyst to support our fast growing UK Marketplace business.

Position Description

Reporting to the Head of Finance Marketplace UK and working in a small team your scope is broad. While making sure the drivers of growth and profitability are well understood, you help the business with actionable insights. You nurture a fact driven decision making process by providing financial analyses and controllership. Cooperating closely with the UK business team and the European finance team, you ensure benchmarking and continuous improvement of finance processes.

Role Responsibilities
• Analyze financial and operational metrics to generate actionable insights
• Support regular business reviews (weekly, monthly and quarterly)
• Partner with the business to assess business cases and perform ROI analysis
• Develop ad-hoc business analysis and present recommendations to senior management
• Ensure financial and business activities abide by our controllership framework
• Work with the BI team to further automate or improve existing reports

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, math or related field
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in financial planning, reporting and analysis
• Fluent in English
• Excellent interpersonal skills including written and oral communication
• Strong analytical skills and a passion for generating insights from large amounts of data
• Bias for action, including the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong Excel skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in Retail, FMCG, e-commerce in a large, globally operating company
• Working experience with Cognos and SQL
