This role is responsible for proactively partnering with the Supply Chain & Logistics leadership team, providing insightful analysis, challenge and influence to drive decisions and actions that improve the bottom line. The job holder will lead a team to develop the assets required to effectively business partner, focussing on value creation. They will set the direction for the team and provide strategic challenge to the business area to collectively strengthen performance.

This role is responsible for proactively partnering with the Supply Chain & Logistics leadership team, providing insightful analysis, challenge and influence to drive decisions and actions that improve the bottom line. The job holder will lead a team to develop the assets required to effectively business partner, focussing on value creation. They will set the direction for the team and provide strategic challenge to the business area to collectively strengthen performance.
What you need to do
- Act as key Finance Business Partner for senior leadership team, leading your team to interpret management reporting to provide insight, analysis and commentary to stakeholders ensuring that performance is understood and all key financial targets are delivered
- L ine management responsibility for 3 C5 and 1 C4 direct reports, putting personal development at the centre of the agenda, coaching and developing colleagues within the team and more broadly across finance to provide challenging and stimulating opportunities
- Upholding principles of financial control and rigour to hold the business to account for waste, stock and the Cost to Serve savings programme
- With your team, support the business in identifying risks and opportunities. Take the lead in prioritising these and work with the business to manage them
- Lead the team to provide the business with an external perspective, defining the benchmark requirements and using outputs to challenge and influence
- Become the key Subject Matter Expert for Supply Chain and Logistics Finance within the Finance Transformation Programme
- Provide support to the business to produce robust financial evaluation of capital investment and/or new business initiatives, including the risks and opportunities, and navigate the governance processes - including supporting the Supply Chain Transformation Programme
- Challenge the business on existing strategic initiatives and identify new strategic opportunities, helping them to prioritise appropriately
- Complete ad hoc / bespoke analysis for the business area as required to drive improvements
- Provide leadership both with your team and across Finance in your location, driving the re-set required in line with the operating model
- Own the design of management reporting, ensuring it is fit for purpose and streamlined
- Work with ADA to ensure analytical resource is used effectively and business priorities and resource allocation are well understood and aligned

- Professional Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- An inspiring leader, supporting colleagues to build successful careers
- Effective communicator and challenger with stakeholders up to and including board level, including audiences of varying financial and commercial acumen
- Proven track record of managing commercial relationships and influencing senior decision makers
- Self-motivated team player, able to work autonomously
- Proven history of effective prioritisation and ability to push back when appropriate
- Strong commercial acumen with a clear focus on driving excellent financial and commercial performance
- Experience of maintaining strong financial controls
- Committed to driving change and comfortable with managing any associated conflicts
