We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join our finance team in Morley, near Leeds.
In this role you will provide finance support to the finance team across all business units regarding accounting and reporting of business assets. This is an excellent opportunity to join our busy team offering a wide scope to develop your own knowledge and skills in a commercial environment.
Reporting to the Asset accountant, your key responsibilities will include:
Academic qualifications required:
Studying for AAT qualification (ideally AAT L2 - L4)
Knowledge/Background required:
Ideally at least one year of experience in an accounting team
Strong advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
Some familiarity with asset accounting is desirable

Reporting to the Asset accountant, your key responsibilities will include:
- Completing finance team requests
- Administration of requests for payments - initiate and record transactions, following prescribed procedures, within given deadlines.
- Participate in 6 monthly stock checks of the hire fleet
- Accurately maintain asset register for Divisions hire fleet and other assets and perform reconciliation to balance sheet
- Liaise with finance team and asset manager to ensure asset movements are accurately accounted for
- Involvement in key projects in the Finance Team as appropriate, for example testing of new IT systems.
Academic qualifications required:
