The Liquidity Solutions team has responsibility for liquidity management (balance sheet management, cash concentration solutions), account services and revenues for the clients of the Wholesale Payments (TS) division. Product Solutions Specialists work in partnership with the Global Corporate Bank & TS Sales organizations to structure cash deposit, concentration structures including physical/notional pooling, virtual accounts and investment solutions for their clients both within the APAC region and globally.

The Product Solutions Specialist role is responsible for the development and execution of JP Morgan's liquidity and account management proposition; to enhance market share and retain the bank's leading position in the global and regional liquidity management space. This role is focussed on providing specialised advisory during the Sales process for regionally integrated liquidity and account solutions including on-balance sheet deposits, cash concentration and virtual account management.

Responsibilities include:

Product Solutions
  • Apply all-round experience in various areas of Liquidity management - Balance sheet/Cash concentration solutions, investments and virtual accounts
  • Demonstrate good understanding and experience on:
    • Client monies and associated regulation, have good awareness of applicability in the context of licensed Payment institutions (PI), Electronic money institutions (EMIs), MSBs/e-money (wallet) offerors
    • Foster deep understanding of capital market dynamics, and consequent application in the context of corporate treasuries (currency/risk management, hedging programs)
  • Display expertise and in-depth knowledge to handle client conversations, stakeholder engagement (with the ability to influence product build)
  • Proliferate business and technical expertise to design and deliver cash management solutions, in the capacity of a liquidity subject matter expert
  • Protect and grow existing client base by influencing customer usage patterns, increasing product adoption, to generate and close new business opportunities
  • Actively apply knowledge of key industry trends/technological advancements (for e.g. data science/digital transformation initiatives, Block chain and other innovations in the Fintech space)
  • Identify key areas of opportunity for client treasuries to actively position liquidity solutions; Drive profitable operating deposit growth for efficient funding management
  • Play the role of the lead specialist on client/prospect calls and develop solutions tailored to clients' specific needs; Actively drive RFP responses by being instrumental in delivering client pitches at a global level
  • Expand J.P. Morgan's share of our clients liquidity wallet by cross selling with other regions and across JPM Lines of Business products
  • Provide thought leadership and deliver market expertise to drive product innovation and platform transformation initiatives

Risk, Regulatory & Remediation Management
  • Serve as market expert for regulations and market trends impacting liquidity management for global Corporations
  • Ensure understanding of the risk attributes to Liquidity products and the client segments utilising the product
  • Contribute to a robust risk & control environment and demonstrate expected risk & control behaviours
  • Identify, escalate and remediate any issues in a timely manner
  • Implement business of inclusion, best practices across the wider regional liquidity team and extended stakeholder group

Sales and Marketing
  • Foster deeper understanding, in partnership with Treasury Solutions, of how liquidity products integrate with wider cash and investment management such as payments, custody, Trade, FX and translate to wins
  • Partner with corporate bankers and treasury sales to proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities, understand client buying and usage behaviour, and the impact of regulations on their decisions
  • Demonstrate ability to actively engage in cross-functional dialogues involving current market dynamics with senior audience within client organisations
  • Provide regular updates on Regulatory Environment and Impact on Liquidity
  • Create focused programs to support effective sales targeting and delivery of balance/ revenue plans including product updates and training
  • Increase visibility with clients and in the industry, including client visits/feedback. Ensure all major development initiatives are backed by client validation and commitment to balance/ revenue growth
    • Spearhead liquidity advisory discussion with clients
    • Enhance the Product value proposition (Internal/External commercialisation)
  • Marketing JP Morgan's liquidity management offerings via active participation at external events and industry conferences, organising and delivering seminars, webinars and presentations
  • Lead targeted campaigns for pipeline growth and further industry penetration, driving incremental coalition wallet share across the corporate and NBFI portfolios
  • Drive deeper understanding of the external environment: competition, economy, regulation, client behaviour

Qualifications / Experience

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years experience in markets/client facing banking functions such as corporate banking product/sales and preferably solid expertise in cash management
  • Alongside fluent English, business fluent verbal and written Japanese language skills is preferred as the job holder will frequently interact and provide coverage for onshore Japanese clients
  • Proven experience in cash and liquidity management/investment products regionally as well as globally
  • Familiarity with market and industry trends including regulatory changes impact the treasury services industry
  • Awareness of domestic and international tax/accounting implications of global cash management structures, from clients' perspective

  • Execution-oriented self-starter who likes to take initiative and is able to deliver in efficient and effective manner
  • Strong leadership skills, demonstrating experience of operating successfully within larger cross-functional organisations
  • Strong understanding and appreciation of the regulatory and control environment
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, presentation skills
