The Financial Analyst will partner with the EU Retail team (based in the Europe) and with the broader business team to support various analytical, planning and reporting needs. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced business at Amazon. The successful candidate will be strategic, analytical, and have a demonstrated ability to effectively manage the financial responsibilities of a high-growth business.
This position will be responsible for building and managing critical performance indicators and business analyses and requires a candidate with strong project management skills, communication skills, and some technical experience. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in cross-functional teams, and demonstrate strong leadership skills. The ideal candidate must have superior attention to detail and the ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously. Primary responsibilities include:
- Developing and managing improved systems to measure business performance
- Developing and reporting on financial and operational performance metrics
- Financial and Non Financial analysis and evaluation of important new business initiatives - Supporting the development of annual operating plan
- Long and short term financial planning
- Controllership of monthly financial reporting
- Partner with the business team to develop new ideas and creative solutions
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a business, economics, finance or similar discipline with 5+ years of FP&A or similar experience
Preferred Qualifications:
-CA / MBA a plus - Knowledge of enterprise financial systems (i.e. Oracle, Red Shift, COGNOS) - Strong analytical skills - Process improvement experience - Superior attention to detail, project management skills and the ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously - Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workload - Candidates must also have fluency in standard software including Excel - Knowledge of SQL is highly desirable - Strong communication and presentation skills - Demonstrated experience in gathering, analyzing and synthesizing business requirements from multiple sources
