At Kingfisher, we have an exciting opportunity for an innovative Finance Project Manager to join our Finance Change Team on an initial 18-month fixed term contract. The role plays a key part in enabling us to drive efficiencies and improvements within our Finance Department, working across the Kingfisher Group. In order for us to achieve a leading Finance function you’ll work across our Finance Strategy by supporting in the completion of the rollout of a core finance platform (SAP ECC) across our retail banners and be involved in various other finance improvement projects as required.
Responsibilities in the role:
- Ensure that all project elements are delivered timely, within scope and within budget
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all the relevant business partners, both finance and non-finance
- Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track project progress
- Establish and facilitate effective cross-functional working groups engaging stakeholders in the reason for the change agenda
- Understand and monitor the dependencies of their own projects and the other activities in the Finance programme, but also in the IT roadmap
- Record all risks and ensure mitigation plans are in place
Skills required to deliver this role:
- Finance project management experience
- Good understanding of finance processes and the impact new implementations will have on the finance teams
- Part/Fully qualified in Finance
- Detailed understanding and experience of the principles and frameworks of successful project management
- A task-orientated and results driven individual with demonstrable experience in building key business relationships
- Have the ability to empower and engage colleagues to achieve the business outcomes
- Any project management qualifications (PRINCE2 or Six Sigma) are desirable but not required
- Experience working with an outsourced finance operation is desirable
- SAP experience
