Role Summary/Purpose:
Assist in the preparation and analysis of SEC and Regulatory report packs for inclusion in reports (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, CALL report, Y9LP, etc.). Support any additional regulatory reporting activities
Essential Responsibilities:
• Assist the accurate and timely preparation and filing of SEC and regulatory periodic reports (such as Forms 10-Q, 10-K and 8-K)
• Partner with closing team and regulatory reporting groups to ensure an efficient public reporting process.
• Assist with development of necessary supporting information required for the enterprise-wide reporting process.
• Manage the completion of 10-Q/10-K supporting workpaper binder.
• Assist with Average Daily Balance monitoring.
• Perform general validation work on the data collected and escalate any unexpected results or inconsistencies in data.
• Assist in the preparation and analytical review of SEC and Regulatory reporting packs.
• Escalate opportunities to further enhance processes through simplification and automation.
• Assist in ad hoc projects as required.
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or ACCA
• Minimum 7+ years of experience in public accounting, Regulatory reporting, or combination of public and private experience
• Demonstrated knowledge in FASB/GAAP accounting
• Project management and coordination skills.
• Proficient use of financial systems and Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Desired Characteristics:
• Banking or Financial services industry experience
• SEC reporting experience
• CPA Certification or equivalent
• Bank regulatory reporting experience
• Proficient use of financial systems and analytical tools including Hyperion databases & Oracle discoverer
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
• Excellent communication skills – both oral and written
• Ability to lead multiple projects/priorities and drive each to completion
