Finance Manager

This Finance Manager role is an incredibly exciting position for an experienced Financial Accountant to take ownership of the statutory accounts and create robust financial models whilst evaluating the organisations income and expenses.

We have partnered with a higher education institute, based in Greater London. This university has recently gone through a restructure and is introducing new roles into the team to bring fresh ideas and perspective. You will be joining a progressive team that is looking to continuously drive process improvement to achieve the most efficient and accurate results.

Description

• Production of the statutory accounts
• Producing accurate and complete returns
• Developing and maintaining clear documentation of all processes undertaken to complete and support the production of the return
• Keep up to date with changed reporting requirements
• Accountable for the production of detailed analysis of statutory returns
• Produce cost and profitability models for students, catering, courses, departments etc
• Presentation to the Senior Management Team
• Influence budget holders
• Produce information on time and in an accessible format
• Drive process improvement by identifying issues and creating solutions

Profile

Essential

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA)
• Prior experience in a financial accounting role- we will be looking for solid exposure the statutory accounts and VAT
• Ability to build simplistic financial models and a interest in developing this skill
• Self-motivated individual
• Able to work autonomously
• Ambitious candidate
• Experience presenting to budget holders

Desirable

• Experience in the higher education sector
• Ability to build complex financial models

Job Offer

• Up to £56,000 a year
• Flexible working- you will be required to go into the office 3 times a week
• Have full autonomy over your own role
