The Role
- Management of accounting function responsibilities including month end close, preparation of financial reporting, accounts payable & receivable and bank reconciliations
- Ensure tax obligations sch as BAS, FBT and IAS are managed in conjunction with external accounting firm
- Supporting the CFO with budgeting and cashflow forecasting
- Provide P&L analysis and maintain fixed assets register
- Manage payroll function for the business for approx. 15-20 staff
Your Background
- Proven experience as a Company Accountant/Finance Manager in retail. We are open to considering other industry backgrounds, but retail experience is a huge advantage
- Prior experience at this level in a SME is strongly preferred due to the "hands-on" nature of the role and size of business. This is not the right place for someone seeking an established corporate environment
- You are a confident user of Xero (please highlight where you have used the system on your resume)
