Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently working alongside a successful business based in the Thirsk area as they look to recruit a ambitious & experienced Assistant Management Accountant on a permanent, full time basis to assist the Finance manager in maintaining an efficient and accurate accounting function!
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic & self-motivated Assistant Accountant to join a well established team in a varied position that will give great exposure into a busy accounting function and progress your career quickly!
Duties & Responsibilities will include:
**Posting of costs recorded on weekly timesheets, reconciliation of timesheets to payroll and production of weekly payroll analysis reports
*Analysis of weekly hours and production of reports
*Assist with the preparation of the budget and quarterly forecasts
*Analysis of overhead costs in relation to maintenance and consumables costs , preparation of files for review and lead the meeting to discuss
*Distribution of overhead cost reports and resolution of queries
*Management of stock checks
*Preparation of audit files
*Balance sheet reconciliations
*Management and reconciliation of stock balances, including physical stock checks, posting of stock journals and balance sheet reconciliations
*Production of Hours per tonne management reports
*Monthly environmental costs reporting to support the group sustainability reports
*Input of manual bank ad-hoc payments as required
*Daily cash reporting to directors
The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:
- You will be working towards AAT/ACCA/CIMA qualification
- Have previous experience as an Assistant Accountant
- Demonstrable experience of administrative systems and procedures
- Strong communication skills (verbally and written)
- Driven & ambitious
