Your field of responsibility

Your responsibilities include: 

  • Business Finance, Management Reporting & Analytics:
  • Work directly with Asia senior management and their teams to conceptualize and launch insightful dashboards/provide ad-hoc analysis on topics spanning across Relationship Managers performance and productivity/ Clients/ Products/ Human Capital
  • Prepare MI Reports for APAC PB business and CFO partners covering key financial parameters including P&L and business volumes. Support production of daily/weekly/monthly reports ensuring accuracy and timeliness around different dimensions such as costs/clients/products/markets; Highlight key wins/ areas of focus for the business supplemented by commentaries substantiating the data, providing more clarity on the financial gaps and driver
  • Handle tasks relating to monthly close checks and controls; upload actuals, forecast and budget data into APAC and global reporting systems and perform relevant checks.
  • Collaborate with platform teams in Asia to support data collection, integration, and retention requirements
  • Efficiency and Automation:
  • Drive data/reporting aligned process-improvement through reengineering and automation; constantly revisit book of work to find opportunities in aligning the same with business/divisional strategies.
  • Assist in change implementation projects via onboarding of reports on data visualization platforms
  • Communicate concisely and relevantly the business information to business partners, finance functions in Onshore locations to facilitate fact based decision making quantitatively and qualitatively

Your future colleagues

The role is part of the APAC PB Finance team Mumbai. The team rolls up to the APAC CFO and is responsible for all PB APAC Financials reported across the Group.

In this role the candidate would be expected to work on production of daily/weekly/monthly reports as well as working with senior management and COO teams in Credit Suisse helping solve analytically complex problems and providing automated solutions. He or She should have expertise in building and implementing business models and analytical proofs of concept; and should be able to learn the existing proprietary tools, standard methodologies and work towards building crafting assets and solutions.

Your skills and experience

We are looking for candidates with proven business understanding/inclination and high logical and programming skills. 

  • Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
  • Knowledge of Private Banking/Investment Banking business
  • Outstanding analytical skills and strategic problem solving abilities
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in data analytics, predictive analytics, the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proven experience working with reporting and analytical tools and techniques preferably in (but not limited to) statistical data modeling, predictive modeling, operations improvement projects, etc.
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets (R, SPSS, SAS etc.)
  • Dynamic experience in data visualization tools such as Tableau, QlikView etc. and reporting packages such as business objects
  • Outstanding skills in MS Excel, Macro VBA, database query languages (SQL), and machine language (SPLUNK, Weka, etc.)
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to work with management and multiple partners
