Start Date: 1st October 2021. Please note you will be required to attend a training day in the 2 weeks before this date.
Serco's Environmental Services provide a complete waste and recycling service on behalf of the residents and community in Lambeth. With a professional, dedicated and friendly team of Refuse and Recycling and Street Cleansing staff, we ensure that streets, homes and businesses are kept clean, safe and tidy, whilst providing the very best levels of customer service to all members of the community that we serve. Reporting to the KPI and Performance Manager, you will be responsible for the production of regular operational reports and performance indicators to ensure the wider management are informed of contract activity and for the front-line configuration of our Operational software (Whitespace) to support the Operation.
You will also deliver agreed regular business information that drives the contract's strategy and decision making, work closely wih the operation to understand the business need for internal reports and insightful business information, support the Supervisors and Management team in Lambeth in the development of the regular reporting against agreed targets, maintain and develop ways of developing reports and processes to achieve improvements in efficiencies, lead in developing requested ad-hoc reports in response to business requirements and be an active member of our continuous improvement programme, providing analysis and insight to projects as well as project managing your own projects, and support the wider contract and business with ad-hoc requests.
We know that Environmental Services workers are our community's unsung heroes and it can be pretty hard work, but we can offer you the opportunity to go home each day with a sense of community spirit, pride in your work, belonging within a supportive and diverse team and the knowledge that your work is making a difference in helping to promote a cleaner, greener living and working space for everyone in Lambeth.
What do I need to do the role?
To be considered for a position within our team, you will be an experienced Business Analyst with experience of using customer information management and Business Intelligence products in a business environment.
You should be proactive, enthusiastic and have excellent attention to detail with excellent MS Office skills (especially Powerpoint and Exel).
Strong communication, planning, organisational, problem solving and investigation skills are essential, as well as strong analytical and interpretive skills.
This role requires an ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and experience of managing projects.
