SAP FICO Manager required for a global manufacturing accounting project, where the key objective is to improve and standardise the end-to-end manufacturing accounting processes, delivering more granular level of details to enable better decision making.

The SAP FICO Manager, will lead the SAP FICO group within the Design workstream of the project, supporting the business process leads in the SAP design for AZ's new functional global processes and policies in standard product costing, cost accounting, inventory accounting and performance measurement. The aim of which is to transform existing non-standard regional processes into efficient and effective global standard processes.

The role will be responsible for supporting the SAP design of:

Standard Product Costing:
  • Cost Component Structure
  • Overhead allocation
  • Materials Cost allocations
  • Long-term planning and MRP
  • Sub-contracting (GES/BES/Toll)
  • Primary distribution costs


Cost Accounting:
  • Cost centre accounting
  • Production order accounting
  • New product introduction accounting
  • Cost allocations
  • Third party supplier
  • Sub-contracting (GES/BES/Toll)
  • Primary distribution costs


Inventory Accounting:
  • Actual product costing
  • Variance deferral
  • Inventory provisions and write offs
  • Intercompany revaluation
  • Intercompany profit
  • Stock in transit


Performance Measurement:
  • Cost Centre Reporting
  • Variance Reporting and Analysis
  • Product Performance Reporting
  • Site/Region/Global Performance Reports


Your key skills and experiences!

To be successful candidates will need to have experience in manufacturing accounting processes in the Pharma industry, and ideally, designing best practise processes, process re-engineering skills (e.g. Lean Six Sigma), as well as solid working knowledge of SAP, S/4HANA (particularly CO-PC), SAP BI and strong influencing capabilities

• Detailed knowledge of how SAP & S/4HANA enabled end-to-end business process across Finance and Product Cost Controlling (CO-PC)

• Prior experience and knowledge of SAP product costing technical and functional capabilities as well as business processes and industry best practises

• Prior experience of designing manufacturing related SAP product costing set-up with focus on overheads and absorption costing methods and techniques

• A background in designing and delivering end-to-end business processes in SAP for manufacturing environment preferably in pharmaceutical industry

• Prior knowledge of upcoming changes in SAP FICO/CO-PC with SAP S/4HANA, as well as expertise in the latest SAP financial technologies

• Good hands on experience of SAP ECC System including providing functional expertise, hands-on delivery, customization, guidance, presentation, and instruction on SAP products

• Good understanding of basic Financial concepts (required for SAP Implementation projects).

• Good understanding of how different modules within SAP interact e.g. PP, MM change impacts on FI, CO processes

• An understanding of the functional, application and technical architectural elements of an SAP programme.

• Should be able to support Functional lead in client workshops to drive design decisions, solutioning and system demonstration

• Should have people management experience, and be able to motivate and direct others

• Not afraid of hands on activities moving comfortably from solution overviews to understanding transactional detail where required

• Prepare configuration & other design documents (User Requirement Specification, Functional specification, Solution design document)

• Experience of multiple SAP full implementation project lifecycles, preferably from scoping and planning through to post go live support

Your essential qualifications, skills and experiences:
  • Degree or equivalent professional qualification
  • Experience of cost accounting, inventory accounting and performance measurement with best practise standards in pharma industry
  • Experience of global SAP ERP implementations
  • Proven solid working knowledge of SAP and BI
  • Proven ability to support multiple projects/tasks effectively
  • Experience of change management and change management processes
  • Demonstrated success working in a team environment
  • Demonstrated success building cross-functional global networks and stakeholder management
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Experience of implementing business change across different national and business boundaries
  • Up to date knowledge of developments within the wider Finance function and understanding of how changes may affect the function (or be leveraged to drive continuous improvement).
  • Ideal candidates will have specific pharma industry and process experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Oral and written fluency in Business English
  • Ability to use a range of influencing techniques


Desirable:
  • CIMA/CA professional qualification
  • Broad process experience (development, management and application of)
  • Significant work experience in relevant functional area
  • Expert knowledge in specialist process area
