This position is responsible for supporting a Commercial Control function across Australia and New Zealand. The Commercial Controller ensures the integrity of the commercial data and provides brand staff with relevant and accurate information to support business decisions.

Primary duties:
Secondary duties:
- Commercial Control:
- Review and Authorization of brand and or business unit specific programs - sales contracts / deals / pricing
- Monitoring and coordination of:-
- Credit notes, sales allowances, discount commitments and programs
- Warranty (standard monthly and quarterly true-ups)
- Policy, inbound and outbound freight, wholegoods
- Net Realizable Value (NRV) Reserves, Domestic Bad Debts- Support Trade Finance as Appropriate
- Monthly Margin analysis, inventory, receivables, and other balance sheet items
- Cash flow Monitoring and revenue recognition processes
- Budget & Forecasting:
- Support the Head of brand and or business in the forecast and budgeting process. Define and challenge forecast assumptions and translate them in financial results.
- Support to FP&A Team to produce reports (causals explanation, variance analysis)
- Assist in presenting the budget/forecast outcome to the business leaders
- Support to SG&A and CAPEX Controllers in the budget process
- Audit and compliance:
- Closely work with Hubs in insuring a Clean Bill of Health for the whole region
- Contribute to audit reviews with the Compliance Officer
- Strict revenue recognition policy application
- Strict following of DOA in relation to discount Approvals.
Profile
The successful candidate will have :
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting.
- Demonstrated tenure and working experience within a Finance function.
- Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
- Demonstrated articulate verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated.
- Strong commitment to meeting tight deadlines, under certain level of stress, self-motivated and flexibility to work after hours as necessary.
- Ability to successfully manage ambiguity and deliver on assignments with minimal supervision
- Ability to ensure approval processes are in line with DOA and company policies
- Willingness to take on related additional tasks and expand upon current responsibilities with minimal direction.
- Advanced Excel financial modeling and skills.
- Demonstrated forecasting and budgeting skills.
- Demonstrated working experience in cross-functional, multi-level collaborative environments.
- Ability to successfully manage ambiguity and deliver on assignments with minimal supervision.
- Spoken and written English language required.
