Working closely with practitioners and partners in our Financial Advisory business, you will gain a high level of understanding of opportunities and challenges in the business in order to provide financial advice and enable better decision making. For the role to be effective you will need to build strong relationships with all stakeholders based on trust and impact.

Your role
Will include specific responsibilities:

  • Partner with the business to understand financial challenges, providing expert advice and solutions
  • Responsibility for financial planning and forecasting, challenging the business to achieve growth
  • Providing financial advice and analysis to leadership on areas such as investment and capital expenditure, acquisitions, due diligence reports, business cases, financial models, post-investment reviews, pricing, staffing and business shape, partner performance reviews
  • Analysising MI providing value added insights into business performance and driving investigations
  • Owning key processes and standards across Business Finance to drive ongoing improvement and consistent best practice
  • Driving strategic initiatives from conception through to implementation and realisation of benefits
  • Work closely with the Financial Control team and gain an in-depth understanding of key controllership metrics
  • Drive increased financial acumen in the business
  • Develop trust and build strong relationships with practitioners
  • Working effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution

Location: This role will be based from our London offices there maybe occasional travel to our regional offices.

Work pattern: This is a full time permanent opportunity.

Your professional experience

  • We would expect a successful candidate to have the following experience:
  • Recognized accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Experienced in a business partnering role
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the key factors which influence a professional services business
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; developing strong relationships all levels of staff and partners with ability to influence where required
  • Strong technical, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to drive change and experience of leading initiatives from concept to implementation
  • Energy and motivation; an enthusiastic and dedicated team player
  • Excellent communication skills - experience of dealing with senior stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to work on own initiative, and under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Good IT knowledge and skills (strength in Excel essential)
  • Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous

Personal independence
