Job Description

Lead Analyst FM&A – FMA provides business, financial, and/or systems analysis and reporting support for Finance and Inform to Manage Processes.

  • Be a self-starter, passionate and a great communicator in order to establish relationships and build connectivity.
  • Demonstrates a genuine ability to and interest in building relationships with key customers/stake holders so one can anticipate and deliver customer-centric solutions
  • The incumbent is accountable to deliver basic analytics and reporting support for their assigned corporate, line of business, sector, shared service, region, country, or legal entity team.
  • S/he plays an integral role providing support for the development of direct Costs reporting, MBR packs preparations, Monthly management deck, Forecasting for dedicated GOT function, Expenses Planning; in addition to a wide range of planned periodic and unplanned delivery to ad hoc requests as assigned.
  • The incumbent will need to act as the Subject Matter expert working on various reporting requirement and co-ordinate with relevant Business Leads in analyzing, reviewing, modifying data to bring in meaningful management information.
  • S/he should have hands on experience in forecast and planning of expenses.
  • Under the supervision of his/her supervisor, the individual in this role will work independently to accomplish his/her own assigned workload and collaboratively with other members of his/ her Finance or cross functional team in compliance with the approved process standards at the agreed service levels committed to in the Mutual Service Agreements.
  • Incumbent will need to act and develop oneself by proactively identifying unique business scenarios found throughout all aspects of the process cycle, thinking differently, formulating and implementing process improvements to drive speed and simplicity by gaining credibility, influencing and partnering across a diverse array of cross-functional teams.
  • S/he may provide analytical support to activities such as audits, the fulfillment of ad hoc requests, and other special projects as assigned.

In addition to ad hoc requests and special project assignments, the incumbent might be called on to perform or assist in the analysis of:

  • Financial performance, e.g. actual expenses vs. forecasted/planned expenses
  • Other Adhocs as required by GOT management

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in a financial discipline such as accounting, finance, or local country equivalent is required. Professional qualification (CA, CMA, CWA) or any equivalent certification issued by local area Licensing body would be an added advantage only

Skills & Experience

  • 5 or more years of experience in forecasting, cost allocations, financial analysis and modeling.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills
  • Self-starter – Should drive change on their own with minimal direction needed
  • Analytical – Ability to easily dive into very arcane details on allocations and bring it up to the appropriate level of audience they are communicating with
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Confident and calm demeanor with ability to perform under pressure and handle difficult situations
  • Advanced Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
  • Proficiency with reporting tools like MAQ, Apptio, Power BI
  • Proficiency with PeopleSoft or other relative ERP/ accounting tools is an added advantage
