Job Description & Summary

With PwC, you'll ignite a meaningful career while being supported by a flexible working culture, innovative learning and development opportunities and progressive policies and benefits, such as 18 weeks paid parental leave for mums, dads and foster carers (no minimum service!)

What will you create?

You'll help Australian businesses, not-for-profits and governments create value and improve the way they work. From digitising healthcare, to creating smarter cities and igniting our start-up industry, together we build trust in society and solve important problems.

PwC's Enterprise Digital business is a team of automation specialists who bring this to life by designing and building custom products with broad applications for some of the world's largest companies. Advising across finance, tax and legal, our diverse team create innovative, technology-driven solutions that automate, enhance and optimise business processes for clients.

Are you a tax or audit professional with an interest in technology? Looking to do something really different and broaden your career into digital?

PwC's Enterprise Digital team is looking for a new team member to work on tax automation software. You need to have a strong technical foundation in tax or finance and an interest (but NOT necessarily experience) in technology. You will primarily work on our end-to-end tax reporting and compliance product, Tax Automate, as we develop, test, implement, maintain and support this world leading application.

Day to day your role will involve:
  • Liaising with both external clients and key internal stakeholders to plan, scope, and deliver our automation solutions
  • Project management of sprints and timelines
  • Translating user needs and business requirements to development requests
  • Mocking up workpapers and features to assist stakeholders and developers understand how the solution will look and behave
  • Testing software releases
  • Training stakeholders and clients on how to use the software
  • Managing User Acceptance Testing processes and coordinating remediation
  • Owning product development roadmaps and coordinating our industry leading process automation, web development, and machine learning teams in the delivery of new product features/enhancements

About you

You have 2-5 years experience in tax or audit, preferably Big 4. You're passionate about problem solving and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and are extremely client focused. You have an interest in technology, and while you do not need experience in this area, it would be advantageous to have some "small automation" experience such as data analytics (PowerBi, Tableau), data manipulation/data wrangling (Alteryx), etc.

You're collaborative and enjoy working in an innovative environment. You're ready to put your tax/finance skills to use in a technology-driven way and join a firm that values the kind of people who reimagine the possible for their clients and stakeholders. Most importantly, you act with integrity and show care for the people you work with.
